Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Wellness Exams & Vaccinations:  We recommend yearly examinations for all pets.  Because our pets age at a much faster rate than humans and often hide symptoms of disease, it is easy to miss problems your pet may be having.  Our skilled veterinarians can often pick up on subtle changes and discuss any concerns you may have regarding your pet.  A wellness exam is often performed at the same time as vaccinations.  We offer rabies, distemper and bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines for dogs.  We offer rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia vaccines for cats.  Depending on your pet's needs, the veterinarian can discuss additional vaccines that your pet may need.

Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.  We can handle most any sick patient problem with our diagnostic capabilities.  We offer a wide variety of treatment options that can be tailored to your pet's needs.  We offer treatment for conditions ranging from allergies to cancer care.

Emergency & Critical Care:  We understand that accidents and acute illnesses happen.  We are equipped to handle most any emergency and can provide prompt care in the event your pet has an emergency.  Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.  We focus on soft tissue surgery and refer most orthopedic surgical procedures.  Our patients receive professional monitoring through anesthesia and recovery.  We provide thermal support, fluid therapy and comprehensive pain management for our surgical patients.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, surgical tooth extractions, and digital dental x-rays.  All dental services are performed under general anesthesia with excellent patient monitoring and support. We provide comprehensive pain management for all of our dental patients undergoing oral surgery.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients.  The patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  We perform pre-anesthetic blood work on our patients prior to anesthesia.  During anesthesia, we provide support through the use of IV fluids and external warming devices.

Pain Management:  Animals feel pain just like us.  We offer a wide variety of pain management options for acute or chronic pain.  Our veterinarians are focused on your pet's well-being and quality of life and can develop a pain management strategy tailored to your pet's needs.  We offer long-term pain control for chronic conditions, such as arthritis, as well as comprehensive pain control for acute pain associated with surgery or trauma.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  Digital x-ray offers the ability to quickly confer with board-certified radiologists and other practitioners regarding x-ray findings.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We can also test for heartworm, feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus and parvovirus infections on-site.  We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Nutrition:  Nutrition is often the cornerstone to living a healthy and long life.  We can discuss your pet's specific nutritional needs for maintenance, weight loss or treatment of chronic conditions.  We offer a wide variety of prescription diets for the treatment of many disease processes.  We offer counseling and special diets for those pets who need to lose weight.

Puppy & Kitten Care:  In addition to offering vaccines for your new puppy or kitten, we can custom tailor a wellness program for your new pet.  At your new pet's initial visits we will discuss wellness care and behavior issues.  We want to provide you with the tools to have a happy, healthy pet for a long time to come!

Senior Care:  Our pets age 5-7 times faster than we humans do.  While our time with our valued friends may be shorter than we would like, we can provide a good quality of life through many medical advances.  As our pets age, their medical needs change.  We recommend performing routine blood testing after 7 years of age to detect medical problems before our pets are showing obvious signs.  We can institute early treatment to improve your aging pet's quality of life and longevity.

Euthanasia Services:  Despite our ability to treat many conditions, there are times when we cannot improve quality of life.  We can be there every step of the way for end-of-life decisions.  We offer euthanasia in a caring and compassionate environment.  In certain situations, we can arrange to perform euthanasia within the comfort of your home.  We offer many options for the internment of your deceased pet, including cremation.

Exotics:  We perform routine wellness care and surgery for many small mammals, including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats.  We are willing to see most any small mammal.  We will also see reptiles and amphibians on a limited basis.  We are not providing care for pet birds or fish at this time but we are willing to see poultry.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification through the use of ResQ microchips.

Fully Stocked Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products and preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry prescription diets for the treatment of many chronic conditions.
